Event Title Application of Computational Tools in Electrical Systems
Programme Overview
and Objective
This programme is aimed to provide a general idea about solving Electrical Engineering problems using various computational tools widely used today. These tools are very versatile and capable for different functions such as mathematical computations, algorithm development, data analysis, circuit modelling, simulation, load flow analysis, control system design and optimisation.

Upon completion of this programme:

  • The participants will have an overall awareness about the latest computational tools available to the power industry and will have a high level of understanding of these tools.
  • The participants can analyse, solve and simulate simple electrical circuits and systems.

Profile
  • Application of Linear Algebra in Power System studies
  • Use of Artificial Neural Networks and Fuzzy Logics
  • Solving of load flow problem
  • Introduction to Soft Computing methods
  • Numerical Simulations of Differential Equations

Methodology The programme will be covered through class room lecture sessions and demonstrations.
Who May Attend Executives in all levels with electrical engineering background, M. Tech Students etc. The participants should have the traditional undergraduate knowledge of Differential Equations, Electric Circuit Analysis and Power System.
