In the current and emerging business environment and sectoral flux, the value addition of the PMI learning experience must be substantial, relevant and meaningful, if our Company is to overcome the challenges it faces. Participants entering PMI, seek new skills, knowledge and to develop their managerial capabilities as also their attitudes and values to increase their role effectiveness. The learning ambience is geared towards renewal and rejuvenation and a major endeavour of PMI is to ensure that key learning of the participants are transferred back to the work place.
PMI’s techno-managerial expertise in designing and conducting interventions on key issues facing the power sector, has attracted participation from power utilities’ from within and outside the country. A key component of the training need assessment is a rigourous and comprehensive dialogue between cross functional PMI teams and our Business Unit Heads which forms the basis of the design of the training interventions.
Every effort is made to ensure that the learning experience at PMI incorporates learning innovations and advances and the new initiative of leveraging technology to deliver quality training to sites in remote locations through video conferencing is a major step in the right direction.
The array of programmes in this Annual Programme Calendar is impressive, and I am sure that participants and ultimately the organisations they belong to, will benefit from time spent at PMI.
With best wishes,
